Behavior Expectations:

Treat others with mutual respect

  • Listen respectfully to each other.
  • Respect others and their property – keep your hands to yourself.
  • Use Rated ā€œGā€ Language.

Act appropriately

  • Sit in your assigned seat each day.
  • Give your best effort each day.
  • We are a TEAM! Share your solutions, thoughts, ideas, and HELP EACH OTHER!

Value being prepared and on time to class

  • Use your passing period for drinks and restroom breaks. I need to plan these things outside of class time and you can too.
  • Come prepared. You will not be allowed to return to your locker for forgotten items.

Keep our learning environment free from distraction

  • I prefer you sharpen pencils before class starts; if necessary you may do so without asking during work time, but not during a lesson or other time someone is talking to the class.
  • Do not throw anything in class.
  • ABSOLUTELY NO personal technology (except calculators) allowed

Respect School and Personal Property

  • Take care of our valuable technology (calculators).
  • NEVER, ever write or scratch on the desks.

Grades:

Your grade will be calculated using these criteria:

  • 50% District Assessments (unit tests),
  • 20% Formative Assessment (quizzes, presentations, etc.)
  • 20% Class work and
  • 10% Homework.

Classwork and homework are crucial practice for you to master the mathematical goals in this class. Failure to complete assignments harms your ability to be successful on assessments.
